Absolutely my favorite hidden getaway! This was not our first time staying at River Dreams, and definitely won’t be our last!

It was a bit spooky driving through the narrow gravel road through the thick woods but then it opened up to a beautiful lot with a view of the river. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside watching the fireflies and listening to the water flowing in the river.

Lovely stay and the surroundings were ideal. The cabin was very clean. The only issue was no secure place outside to put garbage like the other places near by had. Had to leave it bagged up on the kitchen floor which got in the way if you used the kitchen for cooking etc.

My husband and I booked a weekend getaway at River Dreams, and it was absolutely perfect. The name couldn't be more fitting! This place truly is a dream. The privacy and stunning river views are unbeatable.
The cabin's interior is just as amazing, with high-end features everywhere, from the fantastic shower to all the little details like the fully stocked kitchen and thoughtful welcome boxes. We went tubing in Townsend, but we honestly didn't want to leave the cabin for most of the weekend.
The large windows on the roof let in an abundance of natural light, and the cozy fireplace and huge TV made our stay even more special. We loved every moment of our trip and can't wait to return.

pretty place but very bored with no TV and kitchen unable to use do to no oven and stove.: there was no TV, just a bedroom and kitchen. the kitchen had no stove or oven. We did have a bear visited on the porch. Over all we left two days earlier.

Get it together: The new sink and the kitchen never worked, we had to go to the bathroom. I called the property manager and did what they told me in the sink never worked. The power was out in the bathroom and the Wi-Fi was broken. Apparently, it had been fixed tonight before, but no one decided to let us know what the new password was. We got in the middle of the night and my son had a medical emergency and we could not contact anyone not good. We left the property early because we couldn't mitigate the issues and now we're using the insurance to get a refund.

The cabin we rented from Bear Tootin’ Cabins was spectacular! We had The Little River directly in front of our cabin and it was breathtaking to say the least! We visited Cades Cove twice! First time we drove the Loop and stopped in at the visitors center. Purchased the Sourwood Honey (a must because it’s Only made in that part of the the US!) and some fresh ground Cornmeal! The 2nd time we went Horesback Riding at Cades Cove Riding Stables! We even saw a Mama Bear with her twin cubs!!!! We went tubing with River Rat Tubing! It was the Best time floating down the river!!! We visited Clingmans Dome as well and the views were unmatched. We dined at JimBobs Bbq and it was the best bbq we have experienced in a very long time! Tuckaleechee Caverns is a Must see! They were Impressive!!! Such a sight to see! There are several creameries there and we actually ate at 2! The Peaceful Side and The Chocolate Bar. Townsend, Tn is a must for your Honeymoon or vacation!!! It does not disappoint!!

Beautiful river location with a few minor (fixable) issues: We absolutely loved our stay at this property though there were a few minor issues potential renters should be aware of. The main one: You can't use the oven as there are no temperature numbers on the dial. It's a blank, black dial. We had bought a frozen pizza that we weren't able to use because we couldn't preheat the oven to the appropriate temperature. The other major complaint: The hot water tank seems to be too small for the jacuzzi tub. It took us about 4 hours to fill the tub because the hot water kept running out. Also, there was no "users manual" or welcome guide like I've seen at other properties with instructions on how to use things in the cabin. It took forever to figure out the TV, and we didn't figure out how to turn on the ceiling fan until our second day. Also the 10 a.m. checkout felt too early. Future renters should be aware of these details but overall we LOVED this property. The porch and river access are wonderful. The location is remote enough for privacy but convenient enough to be able to easily go into "town" for a meal or groceries. The bathroom is small but functional. The bed was super comfy. We had a huge rain storm during our stay, and the sound of rain on the domed rooftop was enchanting. The good outweighed the bad, and I would have given this five stars if not for the oven/hot water issues mentioned above. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. (I just would know this time around not to buy anything that needs to cook in an oven.)

Riverside Relaxation: The home sits right up next to the National forest property line. Very peaceful and cozy. The bathroom is small and dated, so if that is a must for you, then this is not the place for you. For me and my partner we don’t need all the bells and whistles. Great place to relax!
