Great escape: Very clean and peaceful was able to relax completely and i will say this i am a women and simple things like a bath is my fav way to relax and usually when we stay somewere the bath is to small or dosent make enuff hot water to come close to filling it but yalls was the best i absolutely loved it i spent half the vacation there lol i also loved the layout and design of the building its self it was very open and i never felt like i was cooped up inside at all with the high ceiling and skylight to the big bay windows yal have a beautiful place thank you for letting us stay ❤️ will be a repeat customer for sure ❤️

Slice of Nirvana: What a beautiful, peaceful respite for this tired therapist and my Saint Bernard! Thank you for everything!

Location Location Location: The location is fantastic for visiting Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Townsend, especially if you want to mostly steer clear of congested Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Hearing the rushing Little River inside and out of the cabin constantly was wonderful, and having easy access to the river was great. It would be great to leave bikes or a car near the dam in town and tube the river right from the cabin in the summer. The deck is a fantastic spot for grilling and just sitting, and the grill was in good working order. The fireplace was nice, and there is also a good fire pit outside that we did not use. The shower is tiny, so the jacuzzi tub is a nice option. The bed and loveseat, though a bit small, were comfortable. The kitchen was suitable for cooking meals, although the set of knives needs to be replaced with sharper ones, and a dish drying rack, baking sheet, and baking pan would be nice. We had a frustrating issue with the wifi being removed for 5 days (there is no cell service), but we were compensated for that. Overall, the cabin was great, and our cat liked it better than home (and she loves her home).Townsend has some great places to eat and drink. The IGA was adequate for groceries. Our favorite place for food was Peaceful Side Social (sourdough pizzas and soft pretzels with real beer cheese). Good Vibes on the River is great for breakfast. Little River Steak and Trout is good (blackened rainbow trout). Bring bikes and bike the Maryville-Alcoa Greenway.

The cabin was absolutely wonderful! The best places we ate at were Cherokee Grill in Gatlinburg and The Local Goat in Pigeon Forge. We really enjoyed the mountain side roller coasters the Alpine and Goat on the Roof Top. We also enjoyed the Lodge Cast Iron Store and bought several things. Definitely go to the Hatfields and McCoys show - highly recommend it. Keep in mind that it normally does not snow. We were a 3 minute drive from our cabin with a 15 minute walk and a 100 foot elevation. With that said - we were snowed out and then snowed in. We are two 58 year olds driving a 2 wheel Suburban. Along to our rescue came a 27 and 29 year old. Jonathan and Tiffany ❤️ !!!! We will forever be thankful to them. They hooked up tow straps and pulled us up the mountain to the cabin at 10-11 o’clock at night. We exchanged phone numbers. They called us the next morning to check on us. And of course if we could not get to the cabin in the snow, therefore we could not get out of the cabin in the snow. Those babies came and got us the next morning and took us to Gatlinburg for the entire day - ate dinner with us that evening and brought us home later that night. We have kids older than these 2 kids. Needles to say we made KID friends hopefully for the rest of our lives. You never expect to meet KIDS like this BUT WE DID AND WE ARE GLAD WE DID!!! We will never forget them!!! As a matter of fact we are hoping that that will come to some of our future family events on the coming year. The creek/river right beside the cabin is absolutely awesome. You will not regret renting this place!!!!

"Burr it's Cold Inside": Over all the place was nice but, the heat was not on and it was 40 degrees in side. Took hours to get to 56 degrees then the power went off. Being -9 degrees out side the heat dropped back down. The power did this twice so we had to leave the next morning not being there even 24 hours. It would be a great summer place to stay but, not a winter one.🥶

Limited electrical outlets: There were lamps in places where there were no outlets.
Skylight was filthy, obstructing view.
Good location Riverfront.

Dream catcher: It is the last cabin on the road so you are mainly surrounded by woods (which we like) It is different then your basic Mountain cabin, very unique even though it could use some updating with the ugly wallpaper and old paneling bathroom. Some decors to match the theme would also be nice. Very peaceful sitting on the wrap around porch and listen to the river in front of you. Even though we thought, at first, it was weird for the jacuzzi to be in the living room it was nice soaking in the warm tub in front of a warm fire.
