Outdoor Spaces

The outdoor experience at this property is truly the highlight, offering five private acres with 2.2 acres above water year round, all nestled within its own secluded lake cove on Douglas Lake. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, and sometimes earlier with seasonal rains, the cove fills with water, transforming the gently sloping backyard into a personal lakefront playground with direct lake access just steps away. Guests can launch the provided kayaks, including two adult kayaks and one child kayak for guests under 100 pounds, float the afternoon away on lake toys such as floating mats, number floats, and adult-size tubes, or relax by the shoreline while enjoying peaceful lake views from the hammocks or woven chair swing. During the off season, the lower lake levels reveal the unique landscape of the exposed lake bed, creating a fun area to explore along the shoreline. The property features approximately 787 feet of shoreline access, with stairs leading down toward the lake and the fire pit area, making it easy to enjoy outdoor fun and cozy evenings under the stars. Guests also have convenient access to a TVA boat launch with parking located about a two minute walk away at the end of Atchley Road. Upstairs, a large covered deck with string lights and seating for four offers the perfect setting for lakeside dining and sunset views, while the covered downstairs patio provides additional seating and a tall propane heater so you can comfortably enjoy the outdoors even during cooler months. Whether you are visiting for summer water adventures or peaceful fireside evenings surrounded by beautiful fall colors or snowy winter scenery, the outdoor spaces provide a truly special experience within your own private Smoky Mountain lake cove.
