Great with 1 problem.: The overall stay was amazing. Lots of space, great location and it was so nice! Only problem I had was the sulfur in the water. The rotten egg smell is so strong that you wouldn’t be able to stand it. But after like 2 minutes of having it on, it’s not as strong. They should problem explain about that type of water before anyone books because of others being sensitive to smell. But overall, we loved our stay!!

Mardi Gras get away: We had great weekend. Gatlinburg too crowded. Enjoyed Cades cove and hiking PF. Dixie stampede. The house was wonderful. We stopped and got some wood for fire. Had tea in the teapot. Enjoyed the porch and the dog yard for our small pups we loved the cabin. It was perfect for us 6 The drive up, the directions, the beds were comfy. Plenty towels. It was wonderful. We will be back.

THE ROTTEN EGG SMELL IS OVER POWERING: The location of this property is great. The floor plan is great. However, it does need a deep clean and even though the description says that the water contains sulfur. They fail to tell you that the “rotten egg” smell is overpowering and our kids did not want to take showers from the strong smell. The master bedroom gets warm because there’s no fan circulating the air. This cabin would be a great place to stay but definitely needs some TLC.

Beautiful area: We enjoyed our stay. It does need an overall deep clean. Area rugs are worn especially on the stairs. The oven door is dirty Only one side of the toaster works. Deck needs to be painted. The water is really bad. Had a sulfur smell. I’ve stayed at other cabins with wells and they had a filtration system. None of the beds have a box spring which is needed.

This was our 2nd year staying at this house. Having a fenced yard just makes things so much easier! I absolutely love the back porch and spend lots of time sitting out there. You are so conveniently close to pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Can't wait to book next year's visit!

I just wanted to tell you that our 12 day stay in the Slice of Heaven was everything we had hoped for in our Smokey Mountain stay. Slice of Heaven was a wonderful cabin to reside in. The cabin was clean and had amazing views of the Smokies and their beautiful array of fall colors. We especially enjoyed the mornings and evenings on the rear deck sipping coffee and enjoying an evening beverage. Our dog relished being off-leash, able to lay on the deck and roam a spacious fenced in yard. The cabin had everything we needed. We enjoyed watching the fall colors change with each passing day. Our trips to Cades Cove, Cherokee, and the many roads around the cabin and Townsend offered us spectacular views for plenty of pictures. The 60 and 70 degree days made hanging around the cabin pleasurable, especially on Wednesday and Thursday when our kids were dealing with 10 inches of snow back in Wisconsin. Slice of Heaven and Bear Tootin made for a wonderful vacation. We will recommend it to our friends. We will return to the Smokies for a fall vacation sometime in the future. When we do, we will request another stay at Slice of Heaven.

We were very pleased. The cabin was very clean and stocked very well. The fenced in yard was a very nice addition. The pond across the road provided a nice diversion for the men and kids. The location is great. Very close to the mountains and just a short drive to all the activities in town. Would definitely stay here again.

In a word; idyllic! It would be difficult to find a better name for the cabin. The interior is all natural wood, hand hewn beams, massive stone fireplace. Couple that with comfortable beds, high end kitchen appliances, a full laundry room, and you have A Slice of Heaven. Sit on the deck and view the lake across the road with the mountains behind. Enjoy the people fishing the lake or picnicking in the picnic area beyond the lake and all is people relaxing and enjoying life. Can't get much better, it's difficult to head for home!
